Aspiring & Independent Bloggers covering Entertainment, Arts, & Modern Life:

We produce original information via a global collective of writers and aggregate the highest quality content from around the internet.  Our aim is to create, compile, and deliver one-of-a-kind articles, op-Ed, and thought provoking pieces about  entertainment, arts, and modern life from around the world.

At Glitterazi we are a bit different in our way of doing things. Rather than attempting to enrich ourselves through masses of ads and paid product placement, our goal is to enrich the lives of our readers and the careers of talented writers. Social responsibility and honest reporting, which seem to be almost completely absent in modern media, are our two guiding principles. While this isn’t always the easiest way of doing things, being the best seldom is…

Our writers are a diverse group from all over the world, who may not always agree on everything. Of course no one view is more important than another, and censorship is forbidden. Glitterazi covers all the important and not so important topics affecting entertainment, arts, and modern life. Our writers being free to express themselves, tend to do it! If you want a one dimensional blog with a singular narrow focus, we have some recommendations, but Glitterazi is not one of them. Our Blogging Centre brings together the works of talented writers from all over the world, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Why have boring, when you can have Glitterazi?

Editorial is complete!

Visual Merchandising is complete.

This is my final trend board. I have followed all of Claire’s advice:

  • watch out for hyphenations in text.
  • Change first paragraph
  • I need to go beyond the literal definition of my trend.
  • Writing is too simplistic.
  • Need to add a picture of someone representing my trend.

Other feedback she gave me was:

  • My photos match my concept.
  • My concept of writing is right.
  • Age is irrelevant in my trend.

We also cleared up the colour palette: My trend is made up of primary colors teamed with a a bluey-grey colour scale.

My Inspiration mood board for visual merchandising assignment. Its a bit like a story board because that got good feedback at the mini exhibition on Tuesday.

Here are my edited shop fashions. Just like the guy from design foundry said, I have used bigger graphics and there is now less depth to my windows. I have also made my 3d elements more obvious by pulling them out more with the push/pull tool on Google sketch up.

I’m not sure if I have to design another set of concepts yet, waiting for my tutor to email me back.

Here is my trend board ready for my tutorial tomorrow! I haven’t even bothered to put up my original one since it was abominable. I’ve signed up for the CSI colour award 2012 competition so lets hop she likes it. Need to work on my color palette - Not quite sure about how many colors i should use but that should hopefully be cleared up tomorrow.

De Stijl

Today we got briefed for a barbie and ken project in which we have to think of a story about the couple based on an art movement. Mine is De Stijl. I’m looking forward to starting this assignment (it will have to wait until i get last terms coursework done) - we get to dress up barbies and so on…

My friend Shelby found this link for me:
http://www.stylist.co.uk/beauty/nail-tutorial-de-stijl#image-rotator-1
If only barbies nails were big enough for me to do this on them! However I’m thinking about making the barbies wear head to do of this type of art - I’m going to make mini barbie clothes with a De Stijl type print on it!

My final draft of my editorial before Andrews lesson in an hour.

I have added all the text: Its basically just gibberish to make the text look more effective rather then have to struggle with the limited descriptions that I have come up with for my images. I hope this is enough because the editorial looks more full like this. I have also shaped the text like my inspiring editorial: the text looks as if its bouncing off the contors of the models body.

Here is what I presented at the mini exhibit.

I asked the men from Design Foundry for feed back on my window. According to him:

  1. There is too much depth to my windows and can be distracting from the visuals.
  2. I need to make the whole box white and figure out how to get rid of darkness which you can do on google sketch up.
  3. Use bigger graphics
  4. Pull out 3D elements more to make them more obvious.
  5. Not too much clash in terms of my graphics.

He also gave over all feedback in terms of the proffesionalism of our presentation in terms of our mood boards as well as our shop windows:

  • One window per page
  • Push boundaries - Give them what they want as well as what could be available.
  • font and column consistancy.
  • space things out better - maybe have text on a seperate page.
  • useheadlines, sub headins and bullit points.
